About Us

Our partners and professional staff involved in our governmental auditing practice have a median of 20 years of experience in auditing local governments. 

Our firm is an active member in good standing with both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). One of our partners, Wayne Tamplin, has served as a member of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing CPE Task Force. Our firm is also a member of both the Government Finance Officers Association and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association. 

We have performed over 25 audits of governmental entities in the last three years. 

Approximately 25 percent of our practice is devoted to serving local government clients. With our concentrated focus on serving local governments, we are able to offer a wealth of talent that is normally found in larger firms. Our partners (3) and professional staff (3) who work on our governmental audits, meet the stringent continuing professional education standards required by Government Auditing Standards. 

Treadwell, Tamplin & Co. is committed to using all available technological tools to help increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process. All audit engagements of the firm are completed using paperless auditing software. The use of this software increases the efficiency, organization, and control of our working papers. All of our audit working papers are maintained on our servers, which are backed up daily, and a copy of the backup is stored in the vault of a local bank.
